TOP 20 WEDDING PLANNER BLOGS TO FOLLOW

Top 20 Wedding Planner Blogs To Follow

If you’re getting married soon, first of all – congrats! Marriage is special and for many people, their wedding day is the best day of their life. It’s certainly the happiest.

However, before the bliss can come chaos, frustration – and even tears. Yes, all this happens if you don’t plan your wedding properly.

Wedding planning is like an art in itself. There’s literally so much that goes into it! This is why it’s always a good idea to follow the experts who know what it’s all about. Following wedding planner blogs will give you guidance and advice, and they’ll also fire your creativity with lots of neat ideas.

The the thing is that there are soooo many wedding planner blogs out there. So who do you follow and who do you dismiss?! Beauty and Tips have got you covered with our bumper article. Let’s take a look at the top 20 wedding planner blogs to follow in 2018.

Rock n Roll Bride

When we saw the name of this one, we just had to check it out. Rock n Roll Bride is Kat Williams’ blog, a wedding planner superstar whose quirky and unique style is what makes her blog so interesting.

Of course, as the name suggests this blog is very niche. If you’re into rock music and heavy metal, you’ll probably love it. If, on the other hand, you absolutely hate those two music genres this is probably a blog you should avoid.

That said, if the sound of 3D glasses and fairground rides appeal to you, you might want to check it out anyway, even if just out of the sake of curiosity!

It’s crazy – and we love it.

The Wedding Community

Sometimes, a blog is so much better when it’s an actual community that curates the best posts from its visitors.

The kind of what The Wedding Community is. Brides and grooms who’ve already had their special day share their experiences, offering advice and guidance on how to help you plan your wedding.

There’s an absolute wealth of info to go through here, and there are plenty of tales and anecdotes to read. Ultimately, you need to put aside a whole afternoon to get through everything, but it will be well worth it because of the sheer amount of wisdom and ideas on offer.

Legend Bridal Designs

There are weddings – and then there are Game of Thrones style weddings.

In other words, there are weddings and then there are WEDDINGS.

Check out Legend Bridal Designs if you’re a big fan of the popular TV show and prepare for things to get seriously epic. This wedding planner blog specialises in weddings that are a bit, shall we say, over the top but which are still tastefully done.

Also check this site out if you like the idea of turning the groom into a dragon.

Or yourself.

Rock My Wedding

Rock My Wedding has been rocking peoples’ weddings since 2009. It’s the brainchild of blogger and expert wedding planner Charlotte O’Shea, who started the blog to document her own wedding that she was planning.

Since then, her blog has really taken off and grown into an essential guide that helps brides and grooms all around the world plan for their big day.

It’s stuffed with lots of interesting ideas of how to make you day as special as possible. The blog will show you how to make a floral crown, how to create an epic table centrepiece – and lots more.

If you want more from Charlotte, you can even check out her Rock My Wedding book!

Love My Dress

Like many of the bloggers in this list, Annabel created Love My Dress before she herself got married to document how she was planning her own wedding.

Annabel is super cute and talks often about the value of marriage. Of course, her blog is also rich with lots of ideas and inspiration, and she also keeps you updated with all the latest trends in the world of bridal fashion.

Moreover, Annabel is a great source when it comes to finding the best wedding suppliers.

Boho Weddings

What we like about Boho Weddings is that its founder, Kelly, is literally obsessed with weddings. Just like us! (and presumably, you).

Kelly launched her blog in 2009, not long after she’d just got married. Her original aim was to show couples that their wedding day is a chance for them to flaunt their individuality.

Boho Weddings is a great source of wedding suppliers, and it’s a blog well worth checking out if you and you partner consider yourselves to be a bit “alternative.”

Essentially, it’s for couples who aren’t afraid to show the world who they are, especially on their wedding day. If that sounds like you, go check the blog out!

Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

If nothing else, this blog is definitely the one with the best name in this list!

Whimsical Wonderland Weddings was created by Louise back in 2010. Like many other bloggers in this list, Louise started the blog to share with the world her own wedding plans.

However, unlike the other bloggers in this list, Louise went a bit further by choosing to share other aspects of her life, such as her struggles with her health.

Louise wants to inspire couples to take more of a hands-on, do-it-yourself approach when it comes to planning their weddings, and she offers plenty of advice and guidance, as well as lots of cool tutorials that you can download and watch.

B.LOVED

B.LOVED is a wedding planner blog that has been going since 2011.

Created and maintained by Louise, it’s more of a community than one persons blog.

And that’s totally okay and we love the concept. B.LOVED is home to lots of advice from various brides who have been there and done it, and there’s a lot that you can learn.

Wedding Sparrow

Wedding Sparrow is a relatively new wedding planner blog. It was launched in 2013 by Sara Russell, who launched it to inspire herself for her own wedding.

Since then, her blog has helped inspire countless other brides-to-be.

Sara’s blog is focused on fine art and photography, the latter of which is absolutely gorgeous. She hopes you’ll find inspiration in her fine art wedding dresses, as well as the classic hairstyles she showcases.

Moreover, Sara also focuses her blog on natural beauty and you’ll find plenty of inspiration on honeymoon ideas, engagement shoots and wedding stories.

So You’re Getting Married

Phoebe Miller is our kind of gal – she’s utterly and totally obsessed with both weddings and blogging. Amazing!

She created her blog to share with us all some of the cutest trends from around the world, and she loves to showcases the stories of brides who are preparing for their big day. Whether you want to be a featured bride or you’re just looking for some inspiration, this blog is well worth checking out.

What we love about it is how light hearted Phoebe is. She’s an excellent writer, and she’s also an excellent blogger who divides her blog into various sections. There’s a section on lifestyle, a section on beauty and a section on fashion.

Plus, if you’ve got any questions she’s always ready to provide answers that are based on her years of experience.

Rustic Wedding Chic

Rustic Wedding Chic was created by blogger Maggie who says that she was planning her own rustic wedding when she realised that there were zero inspirational answers a available on the internet.

So she took matters into her own hands and creates her blog, which is now the inspiration for brides and grooms who want a rustic wedding of their own.

As well as Rustic Wedding Chic, Maggie also runs Rusting Wedding Guide which connects couples with vendors and venues.

The Feminist Bride

The Feminist Bride describes herself as a ‘beleaguered bridge, a fun feminist, an inquisitive mind and a champion of equality.’

What we like about it, and what we think others will like about it, is that it’s a blog that doesn’t tell you what to do, how to act or even what to buy. Instead, it answers the questions that YOU want answering, such as why men don’t wear engagement rings and why it’s the bride that changes her surname.

Yeah, what is with that?!

The Feminist Bride is, of course, aimed at feminists as well as modern thinkers. Go check it out!

The Overwhelmed Bride

If you’re an overwhelmed bride (and let’s face it, who isn’t one) The Overwhelmed Bride is a wedding planner blog that you absolutely MUST check out.

The creator describes herself as authentic, passionate, dreamer, mommy, creative, perfectionist and determined.

And all of this pretty much comes out in her blog. It’s home to a wealth of articles that will help you plan your big day, and there’s lots of practical tips and advice, as well as answers to the major questions.

Style Me Pretty

Style Me Pretty is one of the most popular wedding planner blogs around. It has over 2 million followers on Facebook and almost another million on Instagram. And this is despite the blog being so niche.

What we like about their website is how simple it is. It’s not complicated, it’s not cluttered – it’s just nice and clean and tidy.

Want That Wedding

Want That Wedding is another popular wedding planner blog that’s been going for a few years now. It’s maintained by Sonia, a top notch blogger who’s included her own personal story of her proposal that happened a few years back.

Hint – it’s one heck of a romantic proposal!

She updates her blog often so you might want to subscribe so that you never miss a post. Sonia is clearly a woman who loves life and weddings, and this is one blog you don’t want to miss.

Way Out Wedding

We’re not sure if this blog Way Out Wedding took its name from the phrase ‘way out west’ but we like it either way. It’s cute!

What it is is a wedding planner blog that’s aimed at any couple who wants their wedding to a bit different from the ordinary.

On here you’ll find lots of quirky and unusual ideas that are still cool and chic. Indeed, if there’s an unusual trend doing the rounds in the wedding planner world at the moment, you can be sure that you’ll find it on here.

Braw Brides

If you happen to live in Scotland, or if you want to get married in Scotland, Braw Brides is a must.

It is,  of course, focused on all things Scottish (well, all wedding things anyway) and it invites you to take a closer look at what goes into an authentic Scottish wedding.

And, yes, there are kilts and bagpipes.

And beards.

Laurel Weddings

There are many difficult aspects of planning a wedding – literally, many – but one of the most difficult aspects of picking the flowers.

If you’ve never planned a wedding before, and if this is your first time getting married, you’re probably sceptical.

‘How hard can it be to pick some flowers?’

Trust us, it’s harder than you think!

The good news is that it gets a lot easier if you check out Laurel Weddings, a niche blog dedicated to helping you choose the perfect flowers for your big day.

Laurel Weddings showcases all the latest styles and trends so that you make an excellent choice that adds a touch of class and grace to your wedding.

Bridal Musings

Bridal Musings is one of the biggest wedding planner blogs there is. It’s certainly one of the most popular and it’s been around for over a decade.

It’s an absolute treasure trove of ideas, tips and advice. If you’re stuck for a bit of practical knowledge, or feel as though you just need a guiding hand, this blog is here to be your friend and resource as you plan your wedding.

Don’t forget to sign up too so that they can email you more tips and tricks.
