At a period when many observers are lamenting the seeming soar in nudity, indecent exposure and sexually explicit scenes in Nollywood, veteran actor, Ramsey Nouah has spoken in its defense. The actor who gave a performance to remember in 2004 film, Dangerous Twins is reported to have, at a recent programme, said that was nothing wrong with movies depicting erotic scenes.
He is quoted as saying,
“There is nothing wrong with playing erotic scenes so long as they are done professionally. That is why I am encouraging young and aspiring actors, script writers and cameramen to disregard the widely held opinion that Nollywood stars are lay-abouts and join hands with us in moving the industry forward.“
2010 Africa Movie Academy Award-winning Nouah is known for his being blunt when expressing his views as well as being choosy with the movies he stars in.
