CHINA SHIP DISASTER: ONE SURVIVOR RECALLS HORROR MOMENTS

Tourist Wu Jianquang, 58, was one of the survivors of China's worst maritime accident in 70 years.
Wu was the first person on Monday to call police after the accident. He recalls events and says,
"I might have died if my wife had not let go of my hands at the last moment".
Wu and wife Li xiuzhen from Tianjin were both on board the Eastern Star ship on a packaged tour.
According to Wu both he and his wife were lying in bed holding hands together when the ship tilted. The bed fell and trapped Li. He tried to pull his wife out but failed.
"Let Go!", his wife shouted suddenly to Wu. Shocked at his wife's request, Wu loosened his grip from his wife's hand and was then pushed outside by water. The ship then turned over completely at that moment. Wu then swam for several minutes before being saved.
His wife is currently unaccounted for.
