Teyana Taylor is making major moves after her MTV VMAs appearance in Kanye West’s “Fade” video that premiered at the 2016 MTV VMAs. Now, she’s booking new gigs.VH1 just announced the “Maybe” singer will be joining the cast of the new scripted series “The Breaks,” based on the hit film that aired earlier this year.
The series will continue to explore three young friends triumph and heartbreak trying to make their mark in a new and complex hip hop culture.Te(who has starred in films such as Brotherly Love and Madea's Big Happy Family) will round out the cast in a recurring role that includes “90210” star Mack Wilds, lead star Afton Williamson, “Empire” star Sinqua Walls, “The Wire” actor Wood Harris, “Ballers” star Antoine Harris, “The Magicians” actor David Call and “Sex & The City” star Evan Handler.
Production for the new series is already underway and it's expected to debut in January 2017. Will you be tuning in?
